The main work
Twelve weeks to get it back
Not six sessions and a photocopied sheet. Twelve weeks of progressive strength work built around one thing you have stopped doing, with the numbers to show whether it is working.
£1,495
or £525 a month for three months
What's included
- Full assessment in your home, with all five baseline measures
- Six one-to-one sessions in your home, hands-on plus progressive loading
- A written programme, updated fortnightly, with video demonstrations
- Objective retest at weeks 3, 6 and 12, every result in writing
- A report you can hand to your GP or surgeon
- Direct access to me, Monday to Friday, for the twelve weeks
- Equipment loaned and delivered. Nothing to buy, nothing to research
- One unscheduled visit within 48 hours if something flares up
The Week-6 Promise
We measure the same five things at week 0, week 6 and week 12, and you get every result in writing.
If your week-6 measures haven't moved, you have two choices: keep training with me at no further cost for up to six extra weeks, or take a full refund of the unused portion of your programme.
I can't promise how your body will respond. Nobody honestly can. I can promise I won't stop, and I won't charge you twice.
Week by week
Week 0
Assessment
Five measures taken and written down. We agree the one thing you want back.
Weeks 1–3
Load, carefully
Hands-on work where it is needed. Strength work starts light and progresses on a schedule, not on how you feel that day.
Week 3
First retest
Early, on purpose. A number that has moved is worth more than encouragement.
Weeks 4–6
Build
Load goes up. The programme starts looking like training rather than rehab.
Week 6
Retest and decide
All five measures again, in writing. This is where the Week-6 Promise applies.
Weeks 7–11
Make it specific
The work shifts towards the actual activity: the hill, the court, the slope, the garden.
Week 12
Final retest
Full report, and an honest conversation about what keeps it.
The five measures
- 30-second sit-to-stand (reps)
- Grip strength (kg)
- 4-metre walking speed (m/s)
- Single-leg balance (seconds)
- Step-down control (score)
Who this is not for
- You want your back rubbed and to feel better for two days. That is a legitimate thing to want. It isn't this.
- You are looking for the cheapest physio in Bristol. There are cheaper. Several sell three sessions for a hundred pounds.
- You cannot commit two half-hours a week for twelve weeks. The programme does not work in less, and I would rather say so now.
- You need urgent or acute medical assessment. Go to your GP or A&E first, and come back afterwards.
Everyone starts with a Movement MOT. It is credited in full against this programme if you book within 14 days, so starting there costs you nothing extra.
